What we collect, why, who sees it and how to ask us to delete it.
What we collect on forms
When you ask for a quote, send a message or use Design Your Butcher Paper, we collect what you type. That means your name, business name, email address, phone number, the paper details and any file you upload.
Nothing else is collected through the forms. There is no account to create and no password to store.
How we use it
We use it to price your order, send the proof, invoice the job and deliver it. The email address also gets the tracking number and any question about the order.
We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote. If we ever send an offer, it will say how to stop them in the same email.
Who sees it
Our team, meaning the people who quote, proof, print and ship. The email provider that delivers the form to our inbox handles the message in transit.
Delivery details go to the delivery company that carries the carton. We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone.
Analytics and the chat widget
The site uses an analytics service to count visits and see which pages are read. It records a browser, a page and a time; it does not record what you type into a form.
The chat widget in the corner is run by a third party on our behalf. What you type in the chat is stored by that service and read by our team so we can answer.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and messages are kept for two years so we can re-quote a past order without you typing it again. Approved proofs and artwork are kept as long as you keep ordering, so a reprint uses the same file.
Analytics data is held under the analytics service's own schedule, which we do not control beyond the settings we choose.
Your rights and how to contact us
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@shopbutcherpaper.com from the address you used and we do it within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Deleting your details after an order means a future reprint needs the artwork again. Questions about this policy go to the same address or to (503) 461-4788, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm Pacific.
Questions about privacy
Do you sell or share my email with other companies?
No. It goes to our team and the service that delivers the email. Nobody else receives it, and no list is built from it.
Does the site set cookies?
The analytics and chat services each set their own, to tell one visit from another. The forms themselves set none.
What happens to the logo file I upload?
It is stored with your quote so prepress can build the proof and a reprint can use the same file. It is not shown to anyone outside the team and never used as a sample.
Can I ask for a quote without giving a phone number?
Email is what we must have, because the quote and proof go there. A phone number helps if a pallet delivery needs booking, but ask by email and we work without it.
How do I get my details deleted?
Email info@shopbutcherpaper.com from the same address and ask. The quote, the messages and the artwork are removed within 30 days, and you get a reply saying so.
Does the chat widget read what I type before I send it?
What you send in the chat is stored by the chat service and read by our team. We see nothing until you press send.
Do you show my printed paper or my logo on your site?
No. Photos on the site are sample designs, not customer work. Your logo appears only on your paper.
Will I get marketing emails after requesting a quote?
Not automatically. A quote request puts you on no list. Any offer we ever send tells you in the same email how to stop them.
Where is my data stored?
In our email inbox and quote records held with the providers we use. There is no paper file and no separate customer database.
Is the site meant for children?
No. It sells to food businesses, and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent a form, email us and it is deleted.
