Four rolls, one weight

Every roll on this page is 40 lb butcher paper. What changes is color, width and whether it is waxed, and those three choices decide which roll sits on your counter.

Pink is for the pit. White is for the butcher case and for exact brand colors. Brown kraft is for delis and one-color logos. Table covers are the wide white or brown rolls meant to be torn off and thrown away.

Rolls suit a counter with a dispenser and a changing mix of cuts. If every wrap is the same size, pre-cut sheets save a step, and the sheets range covers those.

All four are uncoated unless you ask for waxed white. All four fit a counter dispenser except the 48 in rolls, which need a stand.

What roll width should I buy first?

Twenty-four inches. It wraps a packer brisket, a whole chicken and a sandwich, lines a full sheet tray, and fits every counter dispenser. If your kitchen only ever buys one width, that is the one.

Go to 18 in if the roll lives on a sandwich line and never meets a brisket. Go to 36 in or wider only for tables and whole primals.

Length is the second choice. A 700 ft pink roll is the only short option on a counter roll; the 300 ft table cover rolls are short because servers carry them by hand.

How many sheets are in a 1,000 ft roll?

Divide 12,000 in by your cut. At 24 in that is about 500 sheets; at 36 in about 333; at 48 in about 250. The width does not enter into it.

• Counter wrap at 18 to 24 in per tear: a 1,000 ft roll lasts a quiet counter about a month.
• Brisket wraps at 36 in, two sheets each: about 166 briskets per roll.

• A 700 ft pink roll is the same width as the 1,000 ft, just lighter, and gives about 350 sheets at 24 in.

Which butcher paper rolls can be printed?

All of them. Pink and kraft take one dark color best; white takes up to four colors matched to Pantone solid-coated references. Table covers print as a repeat pattern across the width.

Inks are soy and water-based for food contact. A printed roll goes in the smoker, the case or the freezer the same as a plain one.

The print runs the full length of the roll, so order plain and printed as separate rolls if you want both.

Dispensers, cores and the 48 in roll

Every roll uses the standard core, so it drops onto the spindle of a normal counter dispenser with a serrated blade. The 18 in and 24 in rolls fit almost any counter unit; 30 in and 36 in usually want a wall dispenser.

The 48 in kraft roll and the 1,000 ft table cover are stand rolls. Tear them against a floor stand blade or the carton edge.

A dispenser with a brake stops the roll spinning after the tear, which saves a foot of paper a time on a busy counter.

2. Send it on the quote form with your logo attached if the roll is printed; the exact price comes back in writing within one business day.
3. Plain rolls go to production when you accept the quote. Printed rolls go after you approve the free proof.
4. Production takes 4 to 6 business days, then tracked delivery, free, to any US address in 2 to 3 business days.
