Terms of sale

Plain terms for quotes, proofs, payment, production, delivery and reprints.

Quotes and acceptance

A quote is a written offer by email, open for 30 days, for the paper, color, size, quantity and print described on it. Prices on the site are a starting point; the quote is the price.

You accept by replying to the quote email or by paying the invoice that follows. Nothing runs and nothing is owed until you accept.

Proofs and approval

Every printed job gets a proof before it runs. You may ask for changes as many times as needed at no charge, and the job does not start until you reply with approval in writing.

Approval means you have checked the spelling, colors, position and size on the proof. What the proof shows is what we print and what the job is judged against.

Invoicing and payment

An invoice is emailed once you approve the proof, or once you accept a plain-paper quote. Production is scheduled when the invoice is paid, unless the invoice states other terms agreed with you.

Invoices show the paper, quantity, print and total exactly as quoted. Sales tax is added where the law requires it.

Production and lead time

Printed paper is produced in 4 to 6 business days from proof approval and payment. Plain paper is produced in the same window from acceptance and payment.

These are working estimates we meet in the normal run of things, not a promise that survives a paper shortage or a press fault. If a job will miss its window we tell you before it does.

Delivery

Delivery is tracked and free to any US address, cartons or pallets, and normally takes 2 to 3 business days from dispatch. We do not deliver to addresses outside the US.

Risk of damage passes to you at delivery. Check cartons when they arrive and report damage within 10 days as set out below.

Reprints and refunds

If paper arrives damaged, or a print does not match the approved proof, report it within 10 days of delivery with photos. We reprint the affected part or refund it, at your choice.

Errors present on the approved proof, normal shade variation in pink and kraft, and damage after delivery are not covered. You do not have to return the paper.

Artwork rights and food-contact use

You confirm you own or are licensed to use any logo or artwork you send, and that printing it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We keep your files only to produce and reprint your orders.

Our inks are soy and water-based inks made for paper that touches food. You are responsible for using the paper in the way it is sold for: wrapping, lining and covering, not cooking over a flame.

Limits of liability and governing law

Our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order, settled through a reprint or a refund. We are not liable for lost sales, spoiled product or other indirect loss arising from late or faulty paper.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the contract is formed. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Questions about our terms

When does a quote become a contract?

When you reply to accept it or pay its invoice. Until then it is an offer you can ignore, and we hold the price for 30 days.

Can I cancel a plain-paper order after accepting the quote?

Before the paper is cut or rewound, yes, by email, and nothing is owed. After cutting starts the order stands, because the paper has been converted to your size.

What does approving a proof actually commit me to?

That the print may run as shown. Any error visible on that proof is yours after approval, so read the phone number and the spelling twice.

What are the payment terms on the invoice?

Payment in full by invoice before production unless the invoice itself says otherwise. Repeat buyers can ask about account terms on the quote.

Who owns the artwork after printing?

You do. We keep a copy to run reprints and nothing more. We do not reuse your logo, show it or sell anything with it.

Is there a cap on what you are liable for?

Yes: the price of the order, settled by reprint or refund. Lost sales or spoiled food from a late or faulty carton are not covered.

Which law applies to a dispute?

The laws of the United States and of the state in which the contract is formed. Most issues never get there; a photo and an email settle them.

Can the terms change after I order?

Not for an order already accepted. Those terms stay as they were on the day you accepted the quote. Changes apply to later quotes only.

Do the terms cover using the paper in a smoker?

The paper is sold for wrapping, lining and covering, including a wrap that goes back into a smoker or oven. Using it over an open flame is outside that use.

Can a buyer outside the US place an order?

No. We quote and deliver to US addresses only, and the terms are written for US buyers.
